Cover Supervisor

Teesside

Cover Supervisors are needed for pending posts at schools based in the Teesside area.
The successful candidates will have:

• Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• A dedicated practitioner who are skilled at encouraging children to maximise their potential.
• 22 years of age or over,
• A minimum of 3 months’ work experience with 11-16 year olds in an educational environment.

Working as a cover supervisor can be extremely rewarding but also very demanding. There is a high level of responsibility and although there is always a teacher close at hand if needed, there is a large amount of autonomy. This position involves commanding the discipline of a class and will necessitate for a professional disposition at all times. On a daily basis, cover supervision is more than likely to include:

Holders of a valid DBS check that is registered with the DBS online update service are eligible for fast-track registrations - Apollo can perform a new check for you if necessary at a cost of £52.

Apollo Teaching Services requires a Teaching Assistant with some experience in special educational needs.
The successful applicant will have worked with children who may require some additional help in the school environment.
The position will be challenging but extremely rewarding for a compassionate and caring natured individual. You will be working with a team of support staff at a Special Education School in the Reading area. In such environments, good team work is vital to ensure the safety of the pupils and staff at school at all times.
You will be adaptable and responsible and capable of working with small groups of children as well as on a ‘one-to-one’ basis. Timekeeping is very important as lessons are timetabled.

We are seeking Cover Supervisors to work in our Secondary Schools and Academies during term time where you will be tasked with overseeing of lessons in the absence of the usual Teacher. While long-term or fixed-term contracts are available, there is a huge demand for daily cover – fantastic for those who cannot commit to 5 days a week for various reasons! If you have a desired subject range, let us know! Many establishments are able to slot candidates with strong particular subject knowledge into the relevant Teaching department.
