HSE Inspectors to assess the management of asbestos in schools 

Please find attached e-bulletin from the HSE.

From September 2022 the HSE will be carrying out a programme of inspections to primary and secondary schools assessing how schools are managing the risks from asbestos.

Changes to statutory induction arrangements in Wales

Following a public consultation on proposals to change statutory induction arrangements in Wales, updated guidance for all parties involved in the statutory induction of newly qualified teachers in Wales has been published this week. The main change is that funding will now be provided for induction mentors to support NQTs as they undertake induction.

Institute of Physics Brecon Physics Teachers Conference: 3rd – 8th October 2022

Young Enterprise

Company Programme 

gives learning opportunities for 13 – 19 as they create and run their own Young Enterprise student company.  

Team Programme 

is an enterprise journey for students aged 15-19 with mild to moderate learning difficulties. Designed to aid the transition from education into independent living and employment, the programme develops confidence and life skills.

Grid for Good 2022-23

Young Enterprise are working as Charity Partner to National Grid on their flagship Grid for Good Programme, engaging with young people aged 16-24 across the UK. Those that take part will have access to additional opportunities within National Grid like Career Coaching and Virtual Business Tasters.
