World Book Day The NEU’s next planned day of strike action takes place on World Book Day (2nd March 2023). As there is uncertainty, we would recommend that schools choose a different day to celebrate with pupils

A Period Proud Wales We plan to end period poverty and achieve period dignity in Wales by 2027. On 15 February we published The Period Proud Wales Action Plan. National Network Conversation: Supporting curriculum and assessment in our Curriculum for Wales classrooms, 14 March 2023 9.00am – 12.30pm

Building on the 2021-2022 Curriculum Design conversations, this National Conversation will focus on supporting practitioners and school/setting leaders to reflect on their curriculum and assessment design processes since September 2022. Here is a link to supporting materials which will be helpful to support your involvement in the national conversation and holding conversations within your own setting. Please note the closing date for registration is midday on Thursday 9 March. 

Applications for Taith Pathway 1 are still open!

Personalised Assessments

  • Two new case studies have been added to the suite of school case studies on Personalised Assessments.
  • Headteachers: Please action. If you have not yet accepted your personalised assessments data agreement for 2022-2023, your staff will not be able to access feedback reports which can help them plan progression. Please log into Hwb to accept the data agreement and review staff functions.
  • Feedback and progress – key points. Guidance for practitioners on individual learner feedback and progress reports 2022-2023 covers key points on using the reports to support teaching, learning and planning. It also sets out which reports should be shared with parents/carers.
