Proposals to consider changes to school uniform policies The consultation will seek opinions on a variety of proposals relating to school uniform to update the statutory guidance and to further support families through the cost-of-living crisis and make uniforms more affordable. The consultation was launched by the Minister during today’s press conference

New curriculum resource films, and more on the way… New films are regularly being added to the case study area on Hwb. Recent additions explore transition and use of learner review meetings featuring Jubilee Park Primary School and its cluster, and how transition supports progression at Fitzalan High School.

Pedagogy Resources

These resources, created in line with PISA frameworks, will help schools develop and contextualise mathematical literacy as they progress through the 3-16 continuum of learning.

The main focus is mathematical literacy with opportunities to develop cross-curricular elements of science and reading literacy. They were created for learners in year 10-11, but could be used with other ages and as the basis for professional learning.

The Administration handbook and user guide for 2022- 2023 have been published. The handbook sets out the requirements for this academic year and the user guide, which can be accessed via the assessment site sets out the processes for administering the assessments.

When should schools use Personalised Assessments?

Personalised Assessments are statutory in 2022 to 2023 but teachers should note that there is no specific ‘window’ for using them.

Schools have the flexibility to schedule the personalised assessments at any point during the academic year that they consider is most beneficial to inform learning, teaching and progression planning.
