Welsh Government education news
- Personalised Assessments: reading and numeracy — a new report analysis dashboard is now available on the personalised assessments website, with enhanced filtering and improved download options for learner report information.
- Speech, Language and Communication Training Framework for Wales — a new framework supporting practitioners to identify and access training to strengthen speech, language and communication development for children and young people aged 5 to 16.
- Latest classroom resources published on Hwb:
- Salaried Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): 2026 to 2027
- Free examination appeals for learners who are economically-disadvantaged
Health and wellbeing
- Education Support — access the free bilingual toolkit Stress less and beat burnout: a toolkit for school staff in Wales. Staff can also access 6 sessions of free online supervision at no cost to them or their school.
- EWC masterclass 2026: wellbeing in minutes not months — taking place on 13 May 2026, 4pm to 5pm via Zoom, featuring practical wellbeing techniques including therapeutic laughter and breathwork.

- Sport Wales: the school sport survey is now open and every school in Wales has been invited to take part
- British Cycling: Digital Schools pack survey — teachers, support staff and curriculum leads are invited to share how Digital Schools resources are currently used in classrooms and schools. Complete the survey here.
