Curriculum for Wales Guidance update

As part of last January’s updates to the Curriculum for Wales Guidance, changes were included in the Humanities area regarding ‘the history of Wales and the world’. The change made to the guidance were subject to a revised statements of what matters Code, which has now completed its Senedd procedure and has been issued by the Welsh Government.

A contract has been awarded to Teacher Booker and will be rolled out across Local Authority areas from September as a staggered implementation. More information will follow once these plans are in place.

Salaried PGCE

Following the April 2023 revised teachers’ pay award, Welsh Government will back pay the difference for Salaried PGCE student teachers to the start of the 2022/23 academic year. NPQH Review Working Group members

Careers Wales: Certificate in Careers Leadership

Careers and work-related experiences (CWRE) is a cross-cutting theme in the Curriculum for Wales.  We are offering 15 places on the Level 6 qualification in Careers Leadership for those with responsibility for CWRE in schools and settings across Wales, endorsed by the National Academy of Educational Leadership Wales.
