Free 2022 exam appeals for economically disadvantaged learners
Funding is being provided through local authorities to schools and colleges to ensure learners who are economically disadvantaged can access post-results services, including appeals if needed. The standard post-results and appeals services will apply as outlined by JCQ and WJEC, that is where there is concern about errors in the marking, special consideration or reasonable adjustment not being applied correctly, or malpractice. The process cannot be used to compensate for Covid associated disruption. Please remember that appeals can cause grades to be revised down as well as up. Centres and learners should discuss any potential appeal to assess its suitability.
Transition from Primary to Secondary School Guidance
To support Headteacher’s and Governing Bodies’ understanding of their requirements to make new Transition Plans under the Transition from Primary to Secondary School (Wales) Regulations 2022, coming into force on 1st July 2022

A Ministerial Direction has been issued for the purpose of enabling practitioners to participate in professional dialogue within their school or setting and with practitioners from other schools and settings to develop and maintain a shared understanding of learner progression.
