We’re half way through the Autumn Term already – where is time going?
It seems like only yesterday we were in shorts and sun glasses, and it won’t be long until the woolly scarves become a necessity. Half term comes as a relief not just for our teachers, but also our Recruitment Consultants. For Tristan, the manager of our Swansea office, half term and reduced hours mean more time spent with his family. Here’s his Apollo story:
My name is Tristan and I live in a small village on the outskirts of Llanelli called Bryn, with my wife Lynne and 3-year-old daughter Ruby. When I’m not in work you’ll find me trying to coach Loughor RFC senior team and having pedicures and full face make up done by Ruby.
From rugby to make up model, we love the variation! What is your role within Apollo Teaching Services?
I am currently the Branch Manager of Apollo Teaching Swansea and have been for the past 6 years – I’ve been working for Apollo since 2010.
Could you talk us through a typical day for you with Apollo.
Our day starts nice and early at 7 am when Ryan, Andrew and I are busy filling bookings and contacting schools. Once the morning rush is over the remainder of the day can be taken up with registrations, sales calls, recruitment events and school visits which takes us up to end of play at 5 pm.
What is your favourite thing about working for Apollo?
Apollo is a company with family values, and really looks after its employees. The reduced hours in school holiday time makes all the hard work during term time worthwhile and is a little perk that I enjoy.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to chat to us!
