Summer Loving

The Summer holidays are fast approaching and with it are days full of ice cream, picnics and beaches … it sounds dreamy, but we know it’s not always sunshine and rainbows when you’ve got kids to entertain 24/7!

To avoid the inevitable cries of ‘I’m bored!’, we’ve put together a list jam packed with everything from big days out to family favourites.

Rather than sitting inside looking at a screen, let’s get them up and out to enjoy the fresh air, or let’s get them sitting at the table to get stuck into some crafts.

We all know kids love crafts and can keep them occupied for a long time, we have some ideas over on our Pinterest board that will help you decide what you fancy doing! Crafts hasn’t always got to be messy either there are some great way to keep it clean and tidy but with lots of fun.

Here are a few examples of some craft ideas:

Butterfly Number Stones

This is a little quick activity to do to pass time quickly. This isn’t messy and can be easily done outside! Letting the little ones pick their own stones and finding them would be a excellent idea! Maybe going along the beach and picking them would be good!

Giant Bubbles

A fun DIY way of making some amazing bubbles, you don’t need much either to make these. It is recommended to be done outside as the bubbles can get a bit messy and also they come out quite big! This would be fun for children to do as they can have the bubble liquid and also play with them so you don’t need to be doing anything!

Racing Water Drops

Do your kids enjoy a challenge? Well this activity would be ideal for them, and is also a quick an easy one to set up! That’s all you need is a straw, parchment paper and a drop of water. I would definitely recommend this activity for all ages. You could also experiment with how many drops of water you use, or what the difference is on how much you have to blow with a little drop to a big drop.
