South Wales Chamber of Commerce: Welsh Business Awards Winner!

On Thursday 21 February we were delighted to attend the South Wales Chamber of Commerce Welsh Business Awards. Having been shortlisted for three awards in total, we were excited to hear the results! Apollo were finalists in the ‘Commitment to Skills and People Development’, ‘Excellence in Marketing’ and ‘Success Through Innovation’ categories.

We were thrilled to win the ‘Commitment to Skills and People Development’ award, kindly sponsored by Grwp Colegau NPTC.

Over the last twelve months Apollo have employed a Training Co-Ordinator, implemented a brand new training programme for staff, created new free sessions for schools, and launched a new training website. It was fantastic to be recognised for our commitment to our workforce.

The judges said:

‘[Apollo] have an excellent commitment to their staff both permanent and… agency. They have a clear plan for the future and their investment is evident!’

It was fantastic to spend an evening with so many inspiring Welsh businesses, and to celebrate the success of business in Wales. All finalists were incredibly deserving of their position, and we’d like to congratulate all finalists and winners. The overall Welsh Business of the Year award was presented to CellPath Ltd, a very worthy winner.

The awards themselves were a spectacular evening, hosted by Gethin Jones, and attended by some of the biggest names in business in South Wales. Beginning with a performance from the Royal Welsh Ballet, and ending in a win for Apollo, we couldn’t have asked for more!
