Podcasts: For Children not just Adults!

Since lockdown began, lots more of us have started listening to podcasts. With such a variety of topics and presenters, podcasts are a great way to relax, learn something new or simply to be entertained… but did you know podcasts aren’t just for adults?

There are lots of podcasts and radio programmes out there that are aimed at children. We’ve compiled a list of a few below:

Here you can find a list of programmes and series that are aimed at children. You can find stories, as well as the factual ‘Do you know?’ series, which explores interesting facts that are suitable for little ones.

CBeebies also have a page dedicated to calming sounds to help children sleep or relax.

Peace Out

Peace Out is a podcast aimed at helping children to calm down, with visualizations and breathing exercises built into short stories. Search for Peach Out on Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts.

Story Pirates

Story Pirates is an American podcast that uses inspiration from children to create stories. You can find out more about Story Pirates on their website.

Fun Kids

Fun Kids is a radio station with a huge range of stories, programmes and podcasts for children.

BBC School Radio

BBC School Radio has educational resources aimed at children and in line with the key stages, as well as audio stories that cover a range of topics.

Happy Listening!

Please note: Even though all of the podcasts and programmes mentioned in this blog are aimed at children, we would encourage all parents/carers to ensure suitability for your children before listening.
