New Year, New You: 5 Resolutions in Reading You Can Actually Keep

Happy New Year! From everyone in Apollo Reading we hope you’ve had a fantastic Christmas break and you’re ready for 2018. Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? If you did, good luck – we hope they last longer than ours! If not, here are some ideas of resolutions you might actually want to keep… Let us know what you think!

1. Go to Nibsy’s for coffee.
Even if you don’t fancy attempting ‘Dry January’ it its entirety, you could always swap one boozy brunch for a catch up over coffee. Ranked as the best place for coffee in Reading on TripAdvisor, this coffee shop offers locally roasted coffee and an entirely gluten free selection of delicious cakes.
To make it even better, we will enter everyone that signs up with Apollo Reading in January into a draw to win a free coffee and cake at Nibsy’s!

2. Try a dish from Vegivores.
While Veganuary isn’t for everyone, Vegivores offers indulgent plant based foods that everyone will love. Even if you’re a keen meat eater, venture outside of your comfort zone and give Vegivores a try. They might be able to convert you! Vegivores cater for weddings and festivals but they can also be found at various food markets and festivals – so keep an eye out for them!

3. Take a stroll around Prospect Park.
Wrap up warm and go for a brisk walk around the park. It’ll blow away the cobwebs and you’ll be left feeling energised and awake!

4. Do something you love every day.
Whether it be singing, running, painting your nails or watching your favourite TV show, make sure you do something that makes you smile.

5. Make the change you keen thinking about.
The New Year is the perfect time for change. If you’re unhappy in work, think about a career in Education. Apollo Teaching Services are always looking for teachers, teaching assistants and support staff. We can offer you local, flexible work on days that suit you. Give us a call to chat about the opportunities we can offer!
