We hope you are all safe and well.
In line with Welsh government advice, we would like to ask all of our staff in Wales to read the operational guidance for schools during COVID-19. This guidance covers ‘hygiene, social distancing, self-isolation and testing if a person shows symptoms’.
In conjunction with the link above, we would also advise all of our staff to take a look at the government guidance for learning over the summer term, as well as the FAQ page relating to schools and COVID-19.
All three of these pages provide invaluable information for teaching and Education staff.
When you receive your first booking with Apollo Teaching Services during the ‘check in, catch up and prepare’ phase beginning on 29th June, you will receive an email from us with the above guidance attached. It is important that you read this information, and send us a short confirmation email stating that you have received and read the guidance. We would advise you to keep this guidance to hand for future reference.
It is the school’s responsibility to carry out risk assessments for all staff placed in their school, and to provide you with appropriate PPE equipment. However, we do understand that this might not always be possible, and if the school you are placed in is unable to provide you with PPE, we are able to provide it for you from our head office in Bridgend. If this is the case, please contact head office on 01656 729988 to arrange collection.
