We’ve got an egg-cellent competition for you this year…
We’d like you to write a little rhyme,
You’ve got one month, so plenty of time!
Easter should be your poem’s theme,
Write it yourself, or work as a team.
It doesn’t need to be very long,
Your poem might be a sonnet, haiku or song.
It could be just a little ditty,
That’s religious, happy or maybe witty.
The poem we pick as number one,
Will win a hamper full of fun!
From chocolate eggs, to games and sweets,
The Apollo prize hamper is full of treats!
Now it’s your turn! To enter our Easter competition we’d like you to write a poem with the theme of Easter. Your poem does not have to rhyme. The winning poet will receive a hamper full of Easter goodies!
The competition is open to children in Primary or Secondary school, and the deadline for entries is Friday 5th April.
If your school or class would like to enter, please get in touch with your local Apollo office to arrange collection of poems. Or if you’d prefer, please email your entries to: email@example.com.
