Anti-Bullying Week 2017 – All Different, All Equal

At Apollo Teaching Services we are proud to support Anti-Bullying Week, co-ordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. The theme for this year’s campaign is All Different, All Equal. The aims of this year’s campaign are to:

  1. Empower children and young people to celebrate what makes them, and others, unique.
  2. Help children and young people understand how important it is that every child feels valued and included in school, able to be themselves, without fear of bullying.
  3. Encourage parents and carers to work with their school and talk to their children about bullying, difference and equality.
  4. Enable teachers and other children’s workforce professionals to celebrate what makes us ‘all different, all equal’ and celebrate difference and equality. Encouraging them to take individual and collective action to prevent bullying, creating safe environments where children can be themselves.

As a teaching agency we believe that all children should feel safe, secure and happy. We will be supporting Anti-Bullying Week on all of our social media channels this week, and today we’re wearing #oddsocks to celebrate what makes us unique. We’d love it if our staff and followers could show their support too.

You could change your Facebook profile picture, cover photo or Twitter banner.
You could take a selfie to celebrate what makes you unique.
You could organise an activity for your classroom based around the theme of bullying.

Or, you could simply encourage others to be kind to those around them. However you choose to support Anti-Bullying week, we hope you have fun with it!
