Lee Byrne the British Lion and Welsh Rugby Union Full Back was a recent welcome visitor to Ynysawdre Comprehensive School in Bridgend. Lee was there to present a First Team rugby squad kit to some players of the team. Lee then spent time with pupil’s of the school to answer questions, discuss his rugby experiences, sign autographs and stand for photographs. Also at the launch were representatives of Apollo Teaching Services who were the kind sponsors of the rugby kit. Apollo Teaching Services actively support the majority of schools in the borough, providing first class teachers and support staff. Ynysawdre School pupils were very grateful for such a generous donation to the school and Angela Painter, Area Manager of Apollo was confident to ensure Apollo will continue to support the school in many causes. Mr Mike Davies a PE teacher of the school commented that to have such a high profile current international rugby player could only have a profound positive and motivational effect on the pupils to get them active in school sport.

The next training day will be held Monday 26th October.
