The Importance of Training
At Apollo we want to give our schools the best possible staff, and our staff excellent opportunities to develop. That’s why we think opportunities for Continued Professional Development are invaluable. We aim to provide our staff with sessions to help them gain the confidence and skills to go into a school comfortable in the knowledge that they will be able to tackle the day fully prepared. In turn, this means that we can offer our schools staff who are highly skilled and provided with numerous opportunities to build upon their knowledge and experience.
New Training Programme!
As of September 2018 we will be launching a brand new free training programme for all of our registered staff. All information and news will be posted on our website and Facebook pages, so please keep an eye out for updates as we head into the Summer.
In order to prepare for the new academic year, and new training programme, we are currently running a series of pilot courses to trial the new plan. All of these pilot courses will be taking place in Bridgend, South Wales.
TA Awareness of SEN Course

We will be running an Awareness of SEN course for Teaching Assistants. This course has been incredibly popular and is now full. However, if you were unable to attend the course on Monday, we will have plenty more like it in the near future!
Stress Buster Course
When? Wednesday 23rd May
We will be running a Stress Buster course to help you recognise and manage stress in the work place and at home. The course will begin at 4:30pm in the Apollo Business Village, Bridgend. We do still have some spaces available for this course, so if you are interested in attending, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place.
Safeguarding and Child Protection Awareness Course
When? Wednesday 30 May
The session will give you the skills and knowledge required to support you in your work in schools with children and young people. As well as helping you to identify concerns and understand the legislative framework in place, the training will also help you to consider how to protect yourself, and the children in your care. If you are interested in attending this pilot course, please email Lauraine on email@example.com.
Promoting Positive Behaviour
When? Tuesday 19 June
The overview of this course will be updated shortly, however if you would be interested in attending this course, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are keen to get as much feedback as we can from participants of our courses in order to make sure they are as useful and informative as you would expect. Equally, if you are an active member of staff and there is a topic you would like us to cover in our training, please do feel free to get in touch!
Please keep an eye out for training updates on our website and Facebook pages over the coming months. We hope to have a finalised list and schedule of courses published in July/August of 2018.
